About Lord Vishnu's Dashavatara
Dashavatara refers to Vishnu's ten incarnation , he is an Hindu religion god.The word Dashavaratara derives from 'dasa' mean 'ten' and 'avatar' ( 'avatara') is equivalent to 'Incarnation'.
Names of Vishnu and Yuga in various incarnation:
Matsya , Kurma, Varaha,Narashimha - Satya Yuga
Vamana, Parashurama, Rama - Treta Yuga
Krishna and Balarama(brother of krishna),Buddha and Krishna - Dwapara Yuga
Kalki - Kaliyuga
The Fish,the Tortoise, the Boar, the Man-Lion, the Dwarf, Parasurama, Rama, Krishna, Buddha and Kalki these ten names should always be consider by this wise.
All incarnation has appeared expect Kalki it is the final incranation of Vishnu, who appears at the end of the Kali Yuga.
Puranas
The Agni, Padma, Garuda, Linga, Narada, Skanda and Varaha Puranas.
The Garuda purana consist two lists:
With Krishna and Balarama and a list with Balarama and Buddha which substitues Vamana for Rama.
Krishna and Buddha also found in Garuda Purana, Saroddhara.
Siva purana has Balarama and Krishna.
Why does Lord Vishnu take Incarnation??
Lord Vishnu is the protector to the world for uplifting Dharma and destroying Adharma. There are lot of stories in many epics like Ramayanam and Mahabarat.
We are in the end incarnation of Vishnu it will end at lakhs of years then a new earth will get started. The earth does not destroy only the Yuga will be destroy.
